LIVING WILL

Also known as a Declaration of a Desire for Natural Death, this document allows you to state in writing your wishes regarding end-of-life treatment. In the case that you are medically unable to make decisions for yourself, and your physician has told your loved ones that you are in your last days, do you want for your Health Care Agent to be able to give you artificial nutrition? Artificial hydration? In this document, you can restrict what they are allowed to give you.

A Living Will can be recorded with the NC Secretary of State’s office, so that it can be accessed from anywhere by your Agent, or a health care professional.
