Holistic estate planning

Create a plan that works for you

A good estate plan covers more than who gets your property at the end of your life. It should also address who will care for your spouse if they have dementia at the end of your life, who will look after your children if they are under age 18 when you die, or if they have a disability or need extra care. Your estate plan should also give guidance to anyone who will manage money or health care decisions for your loved ones in the future. We will help you create an estate plan that addresses your specific goals.

We can also help you think through what will happen if you need to apply for long-term care benefits like Medicaid to help pay for skilled nursing care in the future. Rather than just draft a will or trust for you, which may or may not realistically help you meet your goal of giving property to your loved ones, we will help you think through how you will pay for long-term care, and how you can keep your home and protect it for the next generation even if you need to apply for government benefits.
